A device known as a Dip Coater is used in order to employ this technique. At its\u2019 core, this device consist of a computer controlled linear stage in which allows setting the upper and lower substrate resting positions, immersion\/withdrawal speed, submersion period.<br \/><a href=\"http:\/\/instras.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/dip_coater.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/instras.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/dip_coater.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"520\" height=\"381\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-956 size-full\" srcset=\"https:\/\/instras.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/dip_coater.jpg 520w, https:\/\/instras.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/dip_coater-300x220.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>For certain applications Dip Coating has distinct advantages over Spin Coating. Through Dip Coating, thin-films can be deposited on a wider range of material types, sizes, and shapes, including non-flat surfaces, as well as surfaces on all sides of the substrate simultaneously. Dip-coating techniques can also be easily scaled to handle larger and less conventional surfaces.<\/p>\n<p data-tadv-p=\"keep\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>08\/2024<\/strong> &#8212; Giving that a Dip Coater is just a vertically mounted linear stage with a sample holder, we have been actively working to develop our own model over the years. However, the challenge has always been finding a precision linear stage that works with our controller, and doesn&#8217;t cost thousand of dollars. Several more prototypes later, and lots of design changes, we now are one step closer to a production model, the <strong>DCK-300<\/strong>.
